Saving the best for last, Sony has announced that the next generation of gaming consoles will release during Holiday 2020. Not too much is known about PS5, as PlayStation has been slow to even show what the system itself looks like, instead releasing an official logo and showing off some minor features. However, if rumors and hearsay are to be believed, some coming straight from the horse's mouth, there are even more unannounced game changing features that are still com

Microsoft officially unveiled the Xbox Series X , previously known as Project Scarlett. The controller retains its overall design and aesthetic in similarity to Xbox One's, but with some slightly new ergonomics. Also included on the new controller is a share button for recording games and taking screenshots, similarly to Sony's DualShock 4 controller. The overall console, Xbox Series X, promises a huge leap in power, and appears as a black rectangle stood up vertically in terms of its architecture des

Continuing the long running series' incredible story, Yakuza 7 will make its mark on the franchise with its unique combat system . Instead of leaning into the stylized action of previous entries, Yakuza 7 will play with turn based combat that turns the flashy combat into something more akin to Final Fanta

Sucker Punch is one of the most admired developers in the gaming industry, and perhaps best known for creating the Sly Cooper and Infamous series of games. In 2011, Sony purchased Sucker Punch to produce games exclusively for PlayStation. Sucker Punch has always worked within short development windows, with the longest period in between releasing games being four years. The length between the release of the Studio's last game Infamous First Light and the scheduled release of Ghost of Tsushima will be six years, prompting some to wonder if the game would be better off debuting on the PlayStation

The wait for Ghost of Tsushima has been a long one. Originally revealed at Paris Games Week 2017 , Ghost of Tsushima looked to be a dramatic, samurai epic with some sort of supernatural flair, as the trailer showed what appeared to be the game's protagonist seemingly disintegrating into smoke. The game wouldn't be shown off again until E3 2018, where an extended gameplay trailer gave a look at Ghost of Tsushima's impressive visuals and methodical combat. This trailer didn't show off any of the supernatural elements teased in the initial reveal, however, and Ghost of Tsushima E3 details revealed the game would not contain any supernatural elements, after all. In fact, the gameplay leaned more toward hyper-realism - or at least the kind of stylized realism shown in classic samurai mov

Godfall, for the next-generation Playstation 5 console , was unveiled by Gearbox displaying in-game footage as an intimidating citadel structure standing over the land below with a three headed demon of some sort flying around it. Keith Lee and Steve Gibson, the game's producers, promised it would redefine the action RPG genre, describing Godfall as a looter and slasher game enshrining heroic knights with 3rd person melee combat. Not much can be said about the game, but knights in thick steel armor branding big swords, with runes engraved in them, were impressively on display here, and clearly looked like next-gen visuals. The game will include both solo and coop gamep

Easily one of the highest anticipated games of 2020, Naughty Dog's Last of Us Part 2 looks to continue the story of Last of Us , a title that some have been calling the best game of the last decade . But what grounds these plots and makes them relatable comes down to [https://tsushimagame.com/ mouse click the next article] supporting cast, as Bentley’s gradually increasing confidence, Murray’s happy-go-lucky demeanor and Zeke Dunbar’s outgoing nature all compliment the behaviors of their respective companion, with each of them remaining dedicated to assisting their friends as best as possible in these difficult times. While traditional samurai stories can often rely more on introspection and seclusion, Sucker Punch has already begun teasing some of the key figures that will play a role in Jin’s fight , including the conflicted ally Masako and his concerned uncle Shimura. With many elements of Ghost of Tsushima’s plot yet to be revealed, there’s room for additional characters to come in and both encourage and challenge Jin on his quest, and Sucker Punch’s past with deep and relatable characters is a testament to the potential of this promise being fulfilled when the game launches on June 26 for PS4.

During the company's final State of Play livestream for 2019, Sony showed a 60-second teaser for a new Ghost of Tsushima trailer. The full trailer will be shown at The Game Awards on December 12 at 8:30 p.m. EST, but the State of Play clip gives viewers a glimpse at what the new trailer could reveal. It begins with a group of armored Mongolian soldiers, wheeling a heavy cart through a yellow forest on the island of Tsushima, Japan. They spot the game's masked protagonist, Jin, silhouetted dramatically against the light at the edge of the trees. They then draw their swords and charge, and Jin responds by drawing his and pulling a smoke bomb from his belt, slamming it into the ground below him. It's not much, but it does give viewers a hint at how Jin could develop into a "samurai commando, " gaining new tools (like smoke bombs) over the course of the g
